August 2007 - Present

IntegrationWiki

AdMission Corporation is the current company that I work at full time. I got this job shortly after I graduated from the University of the Pacific. My co-worker proposed the idea of building a wiki and I was put in charge of making it happen, due to the prior experience I had with the MediaWiki software.

Since its induction, each department in AdMission has their own Wiki, all of which are only accessible inside the companies firewall. I have become the "wiki-guy" at AdMission and I am an administrator for these sites.

1800 Radiator is a company I have been hired at to do part time work. One of the projects I have been working on is to create a Wiki system using the opensource Wikimedia software. To this website I have done a multitude of hacks to make it work properly.

  • Copied 150+ pages of content by hand/checked for spelling and proof reading
  • Taking screen shots of programs and placing how-to guides on the Wiki for use by our targeted audience
  • Setup permissions to disallow the average Joe from even accessing the site without logging in
  • Setup the account creation page to require an e-mail address to sign up (PHP coding)
  • Created the left hand corner logo and the background logo in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CS
  • Created new a new user group within the database to allow for priveleged user access (subsequentially posting the code to wikimedia.org)
  • Modified the login process and the way menu's and pages are displayed
  • Implemented a sales tool for call-center representatives

This was written the day before the website had gone live and over 1400 pages of content had been added within 3 weeks and permissions and usability had been tested by more than 15 people within the company and the site was accepted as a "great informational resource" to all that it is available to.

I just finished creating www.peterslandingmarina.com. I had to copy all of the content by hand, check links for validity, and then spent the last hour to make the website show up properly as it does in firefox, for Microsoft's NON CSS compliant Internet explorer browser. The Pegasus Group of Walnut Creek, California asked me to create this site after the creation of the Village West Marina website which I created this spring.

I created www.villagewestmarina.com after being asked to do so by my academic advisor at the University of the Pacific. The project required a full template modification and graphic creation. The logo had to be re-drawn and a majority of my time was spent re-creating the logo.

November 2005 - January 2006

I recently just finished ThePacificanOnline.com which I spent 2 months creating.

This website is complete with
  • a weather system
  • a newsletter
  • RSS News Feed
  • a backend documentation system
  • Subdomains pointing to each section

  • ThePacificanOnline.com is a student run newspaper for the University of the Pacific. The website has the capability for web updates when they become available. Future features may include video webcasts and audio podcasts. Picture galleries for events on campus may also soon flaunt the site.

All logo's were created specifically for this project and the custom template was developed as well. The template is a simpler version of the one on this website. (Ethereallan.org is built on a modified version ThePacificanOnline.com)

ThePacificanOnline.com was updated in May 2007 to reflect a template that identifies better with the University as a whole.

Over the summer, LEDmonthly.com was created for the Light Emitting Diode industry. Created and tweaked to its current form in 4 months, this website became a test bed of code that is available to me.

    LEDmonthly.com runs:
  • Mambo 4.5.2
  • Letterman - a newsletter component
  • ArtBanners - an ad banner system
  • AKOcomment - an article commenting system
  • Live RSS News Feeds

  • LEDmonthly.com is run by Michael Hamanaka. This website is updated as new articles come out.
